I have been working on the Cake Collection for months now…and more will be coming! The first limited edition set is now up in the shop! The ever lovely Shannon Sewell provided the most amazing photographs! The work and prep that goes into one of her shoots leaves me speechless! She nails every detail to make it shine!! And I was so tickled to have her pair up my collection with the insanely talented Lisa’s Mini Mad Hattery . Her acccessories are stellar! They make me drool. Back to the Marie Set…this started by hand stripping fushia pink duiponi and bridal white duiponi into my own fabric. A bit more time consuming than I realized, but doesn’t everything seem to take longer than you think? Maybe that is just me. I do that often! After the fabric was sewn, the shorts were crafted and a wide sheer vintage inspired lace overlay was added. The final touch on the shorts is the peachy pink lace topped with stormy grey. I love deep blue grey hues! The top was crafted from a soft grey thermal knit cotton, fuschia pink picot edging, and then finished with a hand ruffled lace collar. Oh la la! Take a peek…
